KEVIN BOWDLER
Kevin Bowdler has twenty years of Investment Banking Technology and operations experience. Most recently Kevin has been working as a consultant to a number of buy-side organizations. Prior to consulting Kevin was Managing Director and CEO of the JP Morgan Chase Global Service Center in India where he oversaw the rapid expansion of the India operations and was instrumental in the decision making and building of offices in Bangalore and Mumbai. Before moving to India Kevin held numerous positions for JP Morgan Chase within the United States; as the Head of North American Rates Operations responsible for the middle offices supporting North American Interest Rate Derivatives and Foreign Exchange, as well as the Managing Director of North American Credit markets supporting three major business lines for JP Morgan Chase; Credit Derivatives, Structured Finance and Loan Trading, prior he was Head of North American and Global Credit Markets middle office operations. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting as well a graduate diploma in Applied Finance and Investment Management from the Securities Institute of Australia.
HELEN DEMETRIOS
Having over 27 years experience in systems consulting, project management, product development, executive management and entrepreneurial activities, Helen is a recognized expert in the product strategy, development, and delivery of systems. Helen was one of the founding principles of Frustum as well as served on the board of the parent company, Misys, a UK based Software Company, which acquired Frustum in 1997. During her tenure at Frustum, she managed over 200 staff in the development and maintenance of the company’s banking product, OPICS. Helen was also the founding principle of GDK Systems, a software company specializing in banking applications which was acquired by Holgan Systems in 1988. Previously Helen held management roles at JP Morgan in their Trust and Custody area where she managed several strategic development projects. Helen holds a Master’s of Science in Mathematics from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from Marymount Manhattan College. Helen was on the Board of Trustees for the Westchester Conservatory of Music and Marymount Manhattan College. Helen and her husband, Michael Stadther, live in Pound Ridge, New York.
RALPH M. MASTRANGELO
Having held senior positions for both JP Morgan and The Bank of New York, Ralph’s career spans 35 years of experience on Wall Street in aiding financial divisions attain their strategic goals. In Ralph’s most recent position with The Bank of New York, Ralph helped build the bank’s capabilities both domestically and internationally into becoming the industry leader in electronic brokerage and as an independent research provider. Prior to this he lead the Outsourcing Services initiative which resulted in establishing an entirely new line of business for the bank and before that successfully leading the bank’s strategic initiative in clearing and expansion through domestic and international acquisitions for international correspondent clearing capabilities. As EVP for Government Clearing and Collateral Management business, Ralph led The Bank of New York to become the leading service provider in the financial industry. Ralph retired from the bank as President of The BNY Securities Group. Previous to BNY, Ralph spent 25 years with JP Morgan in various assignments in senior roles. AS CIO he helped lead the re-engineering of the bank’s critical business application portfolio, data processing infrastructure, and telecommunications capabilities in the transition from an international commercial bank to a global trading and investment banking enterprise. Ralph also held the position of COO for Private Banking and Asset Management to help rationalize and integrate the product and investment management process.In addition to serving on the Market Resolve's Advisory Board, Ralph is also Vice Chairman serving on the boards of the New York Downtown Hospital and Ramapo College of New Jersey.
JOHN W. SCHMIDLIN
With 35 years of service to JP Morgan, John brings a wealth of both diverse and specialized knowledge with experience ranging from global sales and securities trading to global technology and operations in the financial industry. Most recently, from 2003 through 2004, John served as Chief Information Officer for JP Morgan Chase, Chairman of the Technology Council and as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Previous to ’03 John lead a review of the technology infrastructure of Chase as head of Enterprise Technology Services, a position that transitioned him from the role of Head of Global Technology & Operations for the newly formed Asset Management Services (to include Investment Management and Private Banking) which he had held since 1997. From 1988 through 1997 John’s expertise was utilized and advanced through several reassignments within Chase. Beginning in 1988 as head of Treasury Operations in New York, to head of the Foreign Exchange Profit Improvement Program, (resulting in significant improvements in Global Sales), and as head of European Technology Operations in London. From 1993 through 1997, John performed as the Global Business Head of Securities Trust and Information Services which included custody, corporate trust, money transfer and ADR products. John earned a B.S. from St. John’s University and attended the Cornell Executive Development Program in 1981 and is a member of the NYSE Regulation board and a trustee of Harlem Academy.
BARRY W. SILVERSTEIN
Barry Silverstein, J.D, practicing both individually and of Council to Muchnick, Golieb & Golieb, P.C. in the state of New York, brings many years of legal expertise and provides corporate counsel to the Market ResolveSM senior management team and advises on matters of contractual agreements, accounting oversight, and federal regulations. In addition to Corporate Transactions, Barry also practices in the areas of Tax Law, Estate Planning, and Real Estate. Barry is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Tax and Real Estate Sections), New York State Society of Certified Public Accounts, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Barry holds a B.B.A. and M.B.A. from Tulane University and a J.D. from Rutgers University.
